Ill think by positive, he wasnt shot. I have three proves of it.
1- They were on a coffee shop, what was the reason of CJ to get angry?
2- He dont seems injured.
If he really got hit, its actually good to CJ, since he was hit by a shock by a big discharge, and hes alive, that means he's magnetized by the source of the electromagnetic camp's generator, which is CJ.
